I am Amy, Doula Inanna,
Daughter of Sandra,

As a doula I provide holistic, woman centered support for mothers in their season of conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding. I have been serving women and their families in the Blue Mountains and Sydney for over a decade. I bring a strong, grounding presence and a practical, deft hand to holding space for women on their matrescence journey. I have a knack for encouraging women’s own intuition and confidence, supporting their autonomy and decision making so that they can transform into the mother they were always meant to be. I consider this work a great honour and I have deep gratitude for the women and families who invite me to work with them during this precious time. I am constantly learning and evolving through commitment to continued professional development and have an extensive collection of resources which are shared with families I work with.
My entire doula style is grounded in my own self care. I care for myself deeply to not only set an example for other mothers, but also to ensure that I have the space, energy and spirit to commit to this deep and sometimes difficult work. I show up to this work ready to not only give sincere, intuitive care, but to receive the wisdom that comes from each and every woman I serve.
As your doula, I will provide personalized support to you throughout your pregnancy, birth and postnatal period. As I am not medically trained, I will never provide any medical advice, suggestions, opinions, or instructions. In service of birthing women and their families, I provide social, emotional, spiritual and physical support. I trust and honour your desire and ability to be fully responsible for your own birth.
I have birthed four beautiful children and we live in Katoomba, NSW with my wife, four cats and our little dog.
I enjoy sauna, reformer pilates, yoga, bush walking, weight lifting, cycling, kayaking and most of all, the art of cooking nourishing, delicious food.
I am a passionate advocate for women's human rights in birth and aim to stay current on the political climate.
It is an honour to serve women and their families through the season of pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding in all settings including freebirth.
